Here are a few great links I have found.

Links for Travel Planning
1. Travelocity. COM - For easy planning and searching for airfare, hotels and stuff. They make you register but I think its worth it.

2. Lonely Planet - Great to read about where you are going. Great online database of places to go also a favorite series of mine that you can watch on the Travel Channel.

3. CitySearch.com - A great resource for U.S. based residents to find places to eat and entertainment in most major cities.

4. CIA. World Fact book - I know what you are thinking CIA!!!!! but this is a great resource to find out about a foreign country.

5. National Parks Guide - A really well done site, easy to navigate. Tells about all U.S. National Parks.

6. The Paper Boy - A resource for finding newspapers from around the world.

7. Sarawak Travel - An excellent Western Borneo and Malaysia travel site.

8. Frommers - An excellent travel site based on the magazine "Arthur Frommers Budget Travel" Has many articles about places to go and has prices of trips.

9. U.S. Department of State travel advisories. Gives U.S. citizens safety reports for countries that may be questionable to visit.

10. Expat.com.my or expatexchange.com Expat or Expatriate is a great way to learn about a country. Most countries have a site for people who come from other countries to live there. Great advice on the most mundane of things such as car registration or what papers you need to live and work in a country.

11. Escape Artist is a Web site all about living and working overseas. It covers many different countries and is a great resource.

12. ExpatKL is a fantastic expatriate site that has some great articles and links for non-Malaysians living in Malaysia. They have a great real paper magazine "The Expat" which they will send to expatriates living in Malaysia.

13. Trip Advisor is one of the best online travel advice sites out there. They have message boards for just about every destination and real traveler reviews about attractions, hotels, and restaurants.
